Specifications of the Mauritius Government Scholarship for the year 2024:
Applicants must submit their scholarship applications to the nominating agency in their country of origin and should not send them directly to Mauritius.

The Nominating Agency, usually a division of the Ministry of Education, will choose and put forth a maximum of five (5) individuals as candidates for undergraduate programmes. The level of study for each nominated candidate will be indicated.

The Nominating Agency or the Ministry of Education of the candidates’ place of citizenship will thereafter send the application forms to Mauritius.

Qualification Criteria for the Mauritius Government Scholarship 2024:
To be eligible for the Mauritius Government Scholarship, you need to:

Applicants for undergraduate degrees must be at least 18 years old and not have turned 26 by January 1, 2025.
Applicants for PhD programmes must be under the age of 40 by January 1, 2025.
Applicants are required to have previously applied to a full-time on-campus programme (diploma, degree, MPhil, or PhD) at a public higher education institution in Mauritius (mentioned in Section 8 of the relevant Guidelines for Applicants) for the academic year commencing in 2024.
The scholarship will be awarded for the shorter time between the maximum duration specified in the table below and the minimum duration of the course.
